About Me

Turning Data Into Stories (And Sometimes Vice Versa)

Because if you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering who’s behind all these posts about data, growth, and the occasional skydiving mishap.

Here’s the thing about data people – we love our metrics. So let’s start with some numbers that actually matter:

Life in Numbers

the ones that didn't make it to LinkedIn

Companies Scaled
5+(each with its own plot twist)
Value Created
$270M(and countless sleepless nights)
Countries Lived
5(each teaching me how to say "where's the coffee?")
Data Points Analyzed
Enough to make Excel cry

The Origin Story

Remember when coding wasn’t cool? I got my Software Engineering diploma at 14 – back when Napster was disrupting the music industry and everyone was worried about Y2K destroying civilization. Then, because apparently I hadn’t had enough of numbers, I dove into Actuarial Mathematics and Economics at Michigan. (Side note: Go Blue!)

What I Actually Do

I help companies grow through data-driven decisions. Think of it as being a business therapist, but instead of asking “how does that make you feel?” I ask “what does the data tell us?” I’ve worked across continents and industries, from Australian tech unicorns to Asian banking giants, usually playing the role of “that person who makes sense of the chaos.”

Current Chapter

These days, you’ll find me:

  • Writingabout the intersection of data, growth, and human behavior
  • Advisingcompanies across Europe, ANZ, and Asia
  • Buildingsomething interesting in stealth mode (because what's life without a little mystery?)
  • Teachingmachines to be smarter (and humans to be better at using them)
  • Occasionallyjumping out of perfectly good airplanes (see: skydiving interests)

The Plot Twists

  • Was named after Lionel Richie (yes, really)
  • Started doing primary school math at age 3 (while most kids were still figuring out which crayon tastes best)
  • Spent years in Investment Banking before realizing I preferred building things to trading them
  • Currently trying to perfect the art of indoor bouldering (gravity is still winning)

Where to Find Me

When I’m not here, I’m probably:

  • Writing data-driven hot takes on Twitter/X
  • Sharing longer thoughts on LinkedIn
  • Speaking at conferences about things that matter
  • Or more likely, debugging someone’s analytics setup
